Lyriticus 0004: Restart
Apologies for the awkward silence last Monday. I was having a bad week and needed a bit of a break from Lyriticus to figure out a new schedule.
...I figured out a new schedule:
First Sunday of every Month: A review of a music album or a movie. TV Show Seasons are possible, but I'm not doing those this year. Also, The Lyritical Analysis will debut sometime this year or early next year, but I still have to fit it in somewhere in the schedule.
Hang in there, folks! This blog's still just starting up...
Music Singles: Whenever I want. Yes, you read that right, I post reviews of music singles whenever I want. I'm not a lazy person (for the most part) so you need not worry, you will see Music Singles being reviewed.
Since Music Albums often incorporate songs with no accompanying music videos, those will reviewed too. Heck, those can be done within half an hour and posted on the blog in no time.
*shrugs enthusiastically if there is such a thing as shrugging enthusiastically*

Lyriticus Log 0003: Recalibrate
Okay, so first thing's first: The blog is going to a once-a-month schedule, with one film or music album review a month. (Possibly both, but I want to be reasonable.)
Music singles are reviewed at leisure. Meaning, they don't have a fixed schedule so I post them whenever I want. The singles will mostly be reviewed in combination with my music album reviews.
As always, check this posts for updates on what will happen in the coming weeks.
The Lyritical Analysis: An analysis only post will be done very shortly. I want to expand on a review of mine and explain the reasoning behind said review. It won't go up this week, but stay tuned for more updates.

Life of Pi - Movie Review
And so the movie reviews on Lyriticus commence! I'm starting off with Life of Pi, a movie which stuck with me for quite some time because of the interesting themes and symbolism.
The story revolves around a man from various kinds of religions who goes on an epic journey, one that will make you believe in "God." Does it succeed in it's goal? Let's go through the facts and find out.

Lyriticus Log 0002: Segregation
Hello again!
Yes, hello again! Yes, you! Hello! I greeted you, now greet me back!
Fine, be like that. Here's your updates. Freaking people...
Blog: Okay, so first thing's first. Reviews and Analyses will be made into two separate posts from now on. As I said before, I want to avoid burnout way ahead of time and having to find something to analyse in every single song or movie will be way too exhausting and, ahem, superfluous.
Album Review: I'm still deciding which album should be the first to be reviewed on this site. I'm looking to do something which doesn't require much analysis but still provides good material for a review. I've kinda decided which album will be the first, so stay tuned for more details.
Life of Pi: The first ever movie review on Lyriticus, up this coming Sunday! So yeah, I really wanted to analyse this movie but as it turns out, I need a lot more time with it to go over the themes and philosophical statements before I can provide you with an accurate analysis.
An analysis is sort of like an essay; it needs a point, a message, and a firm conclusion. I need to make a statement about the movie, not just throw a bunch of esoteric mumbo jumbo into a post, truss it up with a cheesy pun and self-referential humour and then call it a day.

And let's just say if you have an ax to grind over the magic themes presented therein, then I have this to say: "Ye shall not pass!"
